// Bra Talk with CB
I might be known for sports bras and active wear, but I don’t think I had worn a “real bra” until this summer in over six years. Blame a disdain for wires and anything uncomfortable, coupled with how large and in charge some structured bras make my chest look. Though I recently found a lace number that makes me feel grown and sexy, I have generally chosen bralettes and very low impact “sports” bras for every day use.
After more than a few questions… Ladies, I got you.
Below are some of my favs. I have to warn you though, with less structured cups, nipples may show far more often and if that is a concern for you, look for thicker fabrics or layer other shirts you wear. Just an FYI as I know how creep-tastic the world at large can be. Also, if your goal is to lift and plump up your breasts, these options won’t do much any of that. They will support and hold your breasts, but they will let them look like breasts; something I actually prefer to pushed and popped out.
Organic cotton, made in the USA, and created by one of the most dope women I’ve met… no wires, and work with even quite large boobs. In photo above.
Yes, I know they are almost out of business now… BUT it’s been a long time go to for me when I want simple bras and bralettes, I own many that have been discontinued.
Christie Bra // I own every color.
Cotton Spandex Jersey Crossback Bra // Love this, but with my breast size, they have a tendency to fall out when you lean over in this one.
Price point is solid, and you can find some sheer numbers and some triangles without wires
Always something that is wire free, tho some do not really fit my breast size. Prefer for bands that fold under after a few wear with large breasts. They are casual, and more so around-the-house-bras.
The Markie Bra // sort of a sports bra, but not….and it’s only $16. I like it under t’s or button downs where you don’t want things to pop out.
Who knew there were nice lace type bralettes that go up to XL and beyond at Target? Also, many are lined so that nipple issue I mentioned isn’t a big deal here.
Women’s Lace Plunge Bralette // Here’s my Target favorite… I own 4 of these, and always wear them with the racer-back option hooked in…and it’s under $13…
